Urban Winter Parka
A winter parka for teams working in the cold
The Urban Winter Parka is designed for employees who spend long periods outside, including ferry crews, entrance staff and ground handling teams. Their work can involve both movement and periods of standing still in cold, exposed conditions. The parka provides a winter option that fits into a consistent corporate uniform.
Warmth where it is needed
The parka uses 3M Thinsulate™ insulation, with 150 g/m² in the body and 120 g/m² in the sleeves. The body insulation has a CLO value of 2.8. Insulation is placed around the core, while venting zones help release heat and moisture when activity increases.
The hood holds its shape in wind, and the high collar closes over the chin. Polar fleece lines the hand-warmer pockets, and the zipper can be handled with cold hands.
Choosing outerwear for the team
A CLO value helps describe the insulation, but it does not give a fixed temperature rating for the finished jacket. Layers, activity, wind and humidity all affect how warm someone feels. For teams working in cold weather, it is also worth considering how much time they spend moving and how much time they spend standing still.
If you are choosing outerwear for a team, we can help you assess the conditions they work in and whether the parka is the right fit alongside the rest of the uniform.
